Late 1800s, American, from the Amberg Letter & File Co., NYC, NY. Walnut letter file cabinet, labeled as Amberg's Patent Cabinet Letter File. One piece case, with tambor door running the full length. 8 drawers in total, with Amberg's patented oval label holders. Drawers retain their original paper holders and recording sheets, some with dates from 1894. Drawer interiors measure 12w x 10d x 3.25h. In overall very good to excellent condition, including completely functional tambor door and original hardware. Light stain/light wear to the top and one drawer is missing a side and paper holder, not apparent when drawers are closed.
