Early 1900s, American, from the Globe Wernicke Co, Cincinnati OH. Rare combination of barrister bookcases and secretary desk sections, all in the classic 299 style (quarter sawn oak, rich finish, brass oxidized hardware). 15 sections in total, including three rare drawer bases, five 12.25" bookcases, two 10.25" bookcases, two 8.5" bookcases, two tops, and secretary desk section. Bookcase sizes are interior height, all bookcases are 9.5" deep (D size). Overall in very good to excellent original condition, with rare drawer bases, glass, hardware, labels and stencils to drawer. Includes original desk legs and functional key, which are often lost to time. This set has been assembled over the years, some slight variation to finish/stain color, but overall cohesive and a very good example of this rare configuration.
