Early 1900s, American, from the Globe Wernicke Co, Cincinnati OH. A rare set of matching twin barrister bookcase and cabinet sections, all in the 598 style (solid mahogany, rich stain, with brass oxidized hardware). Eight pieces total, including two drawer bases, two sliding door bookcase/cabinet sections, two 8.5" bookcases, and two tops. Bookcase dimensions are interior height, interior cabinet sections are 22.75" high, all bookcases and cabinet sections are interior 9.5" deep. Unique features include the drawer bases and large cabinet sections, with adjustable/removable shelves to accomodate taller books or items. Retains original glass, hardware, labels and finish. Includes one extra original shelf with pins. Overall in good to very good condition, with some honest wear and some finish checking to some sides of the cabinet sections.
