Antique Globe Wernicke Walnut Barrister Bookcase Set
Early 1900s, American, from the Globe Wernicke Co, Cincinnati OH. Very rare and large set of sectional walnut barrister bookcases, including a mix of double-wide and standard width sets. All pieces are matching black label Arts and Crafts series, finish 4098.5 (solid walnut and walnut veneers, with walnut side bands). 29 pieces in total, including four bases (3 double, 1 single), three 12.25" bookcases (2 double, 1 single), eleven 10.25" bookcases (8 double, 3 single), seven 8.5" bookcases (5 double, 2 single), and four tops (3 double, 1 single). Bookcase measurements are interior height, all bookcases are 9.5" deep. In overall very good to excellent condition, with one glass pane replaced and 6 wood pulls replaced (previously cracked). Any variation in height, fit or spacing in the pictures is due to older, uneven floor.
