Early 1900s, American, from The Macey Co., Grand Rapids MI. This is a set of the very rare large barrister bookcase sections, with interior dimensions of 32w x 16.5d x 13.5h. Straight cut oak, paneled sides, with brass oxidized metal bands to the sides. 27 pieces total including four bases, nineteen (19) bookcase sections, and four tops. In overall very good condition, including original finish, labels to all bookcases, side bands and door hardware. Two panes of glass have been replaced in the past, and two bottoms appear to be well done replacements. Larger bookcases can accomodate most modern books, LP records, and wine and liquor collections.
Any variation in height, fit or spacing in the pictures is due to older, uneven floor. Sectional cases allow for many combinations and flexibility to fit a variety of spaces - please reach out with any arrangement questions or requests.
