Late 1800s, from The Globe Files Company, Cincinnati OH. This is a rare pre-Wernicke merger Globe one piece file cabinet, in the Ideal 299 style (quarter sawn oak, rich stain, brass oxidized hardware). 15 pull out drawers in total, with drawer interiors measuring 11.75w x 10.75d x 3h. In overall good condition for a 130 year old piece, with honest wear throughout. Includes original drawer pulls, and all original drawers have the original The Globe Files Record of Transfers sheets, with the earliest dated 1897. All drawers spring loaded paper holders were previously removed. The bottom most drawer is a replacement, but is an authentic period Globe Wernicke drawer.
