Circa 1850 - 1870, walnut, most likely German or French, Renaissance Revival style. Locks Marked A. Bembe, Mainz and Cologne. Fully carved with two drawers with gargoyles, vines and leaves over two doors with recessed shell, cupid heads and additional vines, etc. above a single bottom drawer with a man in the mountain style center head carving on a ground of additional leaves, vines, etc. The piece in addition to the full carving features a spindle gallery, three rounded shelves at each end and decorative carved columns. Bun feet. The cabinetry features hand dovetailing on the drawers and back panels with additional mortised case work.
